Our self-destructive dithering on the XL Pipeline could have even worse consequences than we thought.
Via Investor’s Business Daily, a few sobering thoughts about this Administration’s Energy Policies, and its deference to environmental extremists:
While the U.S. dithers with concerns about “dirty oil” from Alberta’s rich tar sands, energy-hungry China makes Ottawa an offer it might not refuse. Memo to Washington: Pipelines can run west as well as south.
When President Obama pledged to wean us off foreign oil, we hoped he didn’t mean our friendly ally to the north, Canada. Granted, it doesn’t have beaches like Rio, where we’re helping the Brazilians drill offshore, but we had hopes nonetheless.
Together, the U.S. and Canada have enough oil and natural gas locked up in shale formations, tar sands, Alaska, the Canadian Arctic and the Outer Continental Shelf to make OPEC pound sand. But we won’t drill for ours and apparently, we don’t want Canada’s.
With more than 170 billion barrels, Alberta has the world’s third-largest oil reserves, behind only Saudi Arabia and Venezuela and ahead of Russia and Iran. Daily production of 1.5 million barrels from the oil sands is expected to nearly triple to 3.7 million by 2025. The only question is, will this crude be flowing south to U.S. refineries or west for export to China?
At issue is the Keystone XL pipeline, parts of which have already been built, that would bring Alberta oil to Texas Gulf Coast refineries. The pipeline also could transport oil extracted from shale formations in the Rocky Mountain West. The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the region, dubbed the Persia of the West, may hold more than 1.5 trillion barrels of oil, six times the proven reserves of Saudi Arabia, and enough to meet U.S. oil needs for the next two centuries.

He needs to be careful with this one, because in this case it’s really, really easy to demonstrate that the environmental fears are overblown–as least with respect to this country. And transporting crude via a pipeline is a LOT less risky than conveying it in ships.
If he and Hillary mess this one up it will be easy to demonstrate that they are choosing terrorism over democracy–with no benefit to the environment. People “get” the Canada-vs-Saudi-Arabia thing on a visceral level.

fuel from GOD. Some wicked in Government have been backing Coal, Oil, Gas and
the Nuclear industries for too many years. These kickbacks to them were called
Subsidizing Industry Technology. Most all Wise Men and smart Economist and
Environmentalists call this padding their pockets and subsidizing back to the
Stone Age.
This might even been funny in the 1960′s. If it were a Fred Flintstones and
Barny Rubble Movie. About How to aggressively systematically work with the rich
to Pollute Ground Water quality to the point it is unsafe to drink or use.
So to they make a law you can only buy water from their pipe line. And to make
the air we breath full of Toxic Gases, Sulfur Dioxide and more Radioactive
and Acid Rain. Injuring all living things on Earth.

For all Future Generations. By spotlighting Renewable Energy and Free Energy
like Wind and Solar. On his and his neighbor Barny Rubble’s roof. Even though
the greedy wicked would do everything to stop or slow them down.
Just imagine a dream that a 100 years ago one of the smartest man to ever
live had. A dream after working with Sun Light. That all on Earth would use
Free Energy Solar Energy.
That Dream also shared by a man that dreamed this over 2,250 years ago.
Both These men showed the world in their days. That this dream of Free Energy

address the Scientific Community and the World. About what he was given the
Nobel Prize for. When Albert Einstein Had done so. He addressed them with his
other accomplishments. For years most Governments did not have a ear for
Einstein’s Dream.
Archimedes around 250 B.C. was know most of the World over as a great
Mathematician. One of the first Scientist and Inventor of many things. Even
the first Laser Ray from the Sun’s Energy. Science Fiction is what you would
have though you were seeing if you could go back in time, it was real.To day
we call it The LASER, Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission. Back then it
was just called Amplification of the SUN, Archimedes Death Ray.
Thousand of years later it would be a Laser. That Albert Einstein help
make possible. That would unlock one of the first books on Earth.

United States of America alone, has grown by more then 50% in 2010 and
that number has gone up even higher this year 2011.
The strong benefits of Solar Energy is Clear Clean Air viewed in major cities

worked against these tax credits.
By doing so they are showing their true objectives. That they have stock in some
power plants and do not want to lose all that Money they have been taking out of
your pocket books for too many years. By taxing you on your Energy Bills. They want
to Control Power and Tax Everything they can. Not let People be free to get their
own power from the top of their own roofs.
By adding their own taxes to them. These wicked leaders think that this will take
away the incentives to harvest the Free Energy from the Sun.

As an Albertan and one educated in Geology I am no fool to the potential underfoot. My people for years have figured out how to squeeze oil from stone and we will continue to do so. there are potentially trillions of barrels in my part of the world. Its up to those that call themselves libertarians whether they want to buy their oil from people who hold freedom and equality as the law of the land or from those that have no respect for what we westerners hold dear. American foreign policy has for years excluded us from the “foreign” category for quite a few years, but the keystone fiasco has us Albertan’s and Canadians in general feeling slighted. I don’t believe that Americans understand that we Albertan’s own the oil under our lands, and with that, ultimately decide who we sell it too. If there are billions of people wanting to buy our oil in China and India then mabye that is the direction we need to go. I have no doubt that given technological advances Alberta will become the largest oil producing district shadowing all others magnitudinally so. The fact of the matter is, we Albertans can elect governments that will sell our oil to who we choose, and as a proud people, getting slighted doesn’t rank to highly in the acceptable category for us. The Keystone XL may have been mothballed for now and if the given swing to develop capacity to the west coast strengthens, it may be the last project south. keystone XL failed, but it is doubtful that gateway will, even despite the opposition.
