So, our Doofus in Chief is in full campaign mode (yeah I know, when has he not been) which is fine…it’s that time. He’s auctioning off a chance to have dinner with him and the Vice Doofus, Joe Biden. The thing that bothered FoxNation was that the campaign ad was most likely shot in the White House…which anybody who has made it through a high school civics class (ya know as opposed to a Constitutional scholar) knows is a big fat no-no.
But the thing that bothers me more than him using the White House as Campaign Central (we’ll hear soon that he mistaped or wasn’t briefed properly on the law or a Unicorn ate that page), is this:
To participate in the contest you need to donate at least $5 to the campaign and your name will be raffled off to enjoy a dinner with the President, airfare and accommodations included.
Who, exactly, is paying for this airfare and accommodations? Would that be, ME? Wouldn’t that also be a violation of FEC campaign finance laws? Maybe not, I’m just a girl….not a wildly intelligent, former constitutional professor, former senator, current POTUS.
WTF?

Gee, Doesn’t the required donation violate some of the laws governing sweepstakes and contests? So can I now talk about the “criminal” administration when ranting

I had no problem with you talking about the “criminal” administration when ranting before this.

Oh I realize you were always ok with a good rant, I’m just looking for official “markers” to point to later. You know, like I can now talk about his “failed economic policies” after last year’s “Recover Summer!”, and his “failed foreign policy” now that the Libya thing has gone on for “months, not weeks”…
Gotta have “evidence” to argue with these NY liberals; even if they never bother to provide any

That’s very noble and logical of you…but when presented with evidence, liberals, NY or othewise, just scream RAAAAAAAAAAACIST!!! or “but but but BUSH!!!” lol Seems like a lot of work for nuttin’. :0

Roger that; I hear, “B-B-But, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!”, quite a lot.
“RAAAAAAAAACIST!”, rings a bit hollow, owing to my Cherokee heritage and concomitant absolute moral authority, vis-a-vis identity politics card deck. But, you know, they always have “race traitor” and “inauthentic” available as fall back, knee-jerk, shout-down epithets.

My kids and grandkids have the “Heritage” thing going. My late and greatly lamented FIL was Mohawk (I guess it’s “Mohegan” now, but I”m not going to worry about it.)
My grandsons’ daddy takes care of the Cherokee part of it. I”m just a crazed Scots-Irishman, with a few inclusions. I’ll kill you, but I won’t eat you.
Given the separation between my offspring and anthrophagy, though, don’t count on them giving you the same break. I won’t participate in the feast, but I might grin and watch.
