Steve Green picks out the battleground states; you can read all his assumptions here.
I don’t disagree with any of ‘em, although I do think that Big O has all but lost Florida at this point. There’s something he keeps forgetting: it’s also a Gulf State. No, it’s not quite like the other Gulf states, and its dependence on tourism is deep enough that people want to approach oil production quite carefully there—not that it’s anything to be cavalier about anywhere along that coast.
But people in the Sunshine State can see the economic devastation of Obama’s permitorium—up close, and far more personal than the President will ever let himself look at it.

What’s really sad to me is how there are so many people that still support Obama and the liberal agenda. I simply can’t understand how so many people believe the Democrats are doing this country any good. Look at CA – solid blue – and nearly falling into the Pacific with financial problems, immigration problems, pension problems, etc, but they keep it going. NJ has the highest taxes, people are moving out like mad – but again, they love the Dems. Delaware has the biggest dolt in the nation in our VP, but they seem to like him?
I’m thinking if this nation remains so divided we are in for a long tough haul. If the entitlement mindset is that people vote Democratic to keep their “benefits”, what are these parasites going to do as the benefit pool dries up?

That’s because leftism is truly a mental disorder.
“what are these parasites going to do as the benefit pool dries up?”
Riot.

It appears that the liberal-socialist mindset wants the world to be run a certain way, regardless of how that way works out in practice.

Nothing will convince them that their way is a total failure until it is too late. Then they will riot.

The way I see it, the problem is easily solved. We give California back to Mexico and give New York to Canada.
We’ll never again have a Democrat majority in Congress or see one in the Executive.
That was easy, and in both instances, they’d feel better about being tossed, I suspect. (There may be enclaves in both that we should carve out first before tossing the rest of them over the side, but if it takes the whole thing to make it work, so be it. The smart ones will move out.)
