Brett Kimberlin and George Zimmerman [UPDATEDx2]

Let's just dive in, beginning with this round up by Tai Chi Policy. The Lonely Conservative relays the information from Screed of Momus that Dem House candidate Darcy Burner has been availing herself of Neal Rauhauser's peculiar services. Bob Belvedere mentions us in a gathering of posts advocating that we stop the infighting, including Momus, again, and Liberty Chick. Stacy revisits and elaborates on the sockpuppeting of real boy wannabe Neal Rauhauser.

Patterico anatomizes just one of Brett Kimberlin's acts of false testimony against Aaron Walker in court.

Kimberlin makes it sound like Aaron came out of nowhere — just one stalker helping another. But, in fact, Kimberlin initiated contact with Aaron, not the other way around. Kimberlin had filed legal papers seeking Aaron’s true name, ostensibly so that Kimberlin could call Aaron as a witness on January 9. But when Kimberlin learned all of Aaron’s personal information, he didn’t use it to subpoena Aaron. Instead, he put that personal information — Aaron’s home address, Aaron’s work address, specific information about one of Aaron’s past lawsuits, names of schools Aaron attended, etc. — in court documents.

Then, Aaron showed up on January 9 to have all that personal information sealed. This was the very hearing where Kimberlin supposedly needed Aaron as a witness — yet Kimberlin didn’t call Aaron. What Kimberlin did do is oppose Aaron’s motion to seal all of that personal information. This would cause a reasonable onlooker to decide that Kimberlin wanted all that information public — perhaps so that it could be published on the Internet, to harass Aaron.

As his former biographer pointed out, and Stacy likes to remind us, Brett Kimberlin earned a perjury conviction before he graduated high school. That doesn't prevent leftists from backing his dead horse, but lying to the court about his financial situation certainly has cost George Zimmerman. The Trayvon supporters' argument would be that if he'd lie to the court about funds received for his defense, what wouldn't he lie to them about? Whether or not one believes that's what Zimmerman did—and his own attorney's stipulation admits an intent to deceive—Zimmerman's wife is now charged with perjury and Zimmerman's bail was revoked, though his attorney's giving it another shot. What the MSM reported very belatedly, though given the kind of information that was being leaked to them it's hard to imagine they didn't know it earlier, is that Zimmerman passed a lie detector test regarding the events leading up to the shooting of Trayvon Martin. And that, in turn, indicates that the now-fired Police Chief down in Florida was being reasonably painstaking in some respects with this case, although it was only after he was cashiered that the MSM saw any point in disgorging the lie detector results.

In short, there's a striking contrast not only between the courts' treatment of George Zimmerman, who is being prosecuted to the hilt, and Brett Kimberlin, whose lawfaring trail of wreckage is enabled at every turn by legal functionaries who don't feel their institutions' dignity is compromised in any way by his serial lying in sworn testimony, whether in complaints or before the court itself. This, in turn, is mirrored by the partisans attached to those individuals: George Zimmerman's donors and supporters, or at least a substantial percentage of them, can be turned off by any whiff of deceit, whereas Kimberlin's disregard the information. In defense of Kimberlin's supporters, they are in this respect not hypocrites, because they bankroll him in order that he be able to lie about, give false testimony against and generally harass publishers of contrary political opinions and inconvenient information.

But, but, but, the leftists will whine, Zimmerman went out stalking Trayvon Martin, itching for a confrontation that resulted in murder! Mr. Kimberlin set bombs, each of which he manufactured in such fashion as to cause grievous bodily harm, which in one case happened. Except in the case of the exploded cop car, none of these appears to have been specifically targeted at individuals who had done him any offense, except insofar as they were members of 'society' . . . man. If there's such a thing as a 'hate crime,' how can it not be this? And many believe that Carl DeLong lost his health and later his life in order to provide a diversion. It's very hard to imagine an act more monstrously selfish than The Speedway Bombers'.

Lies, perjury, false testimony, deceit: engage in those things long enough, and by golly you'll be in need of some 'persona management' that will involve more of the same. Or if you are a progressive pol, you can take the low road and opt for personal management right out of the box, which gives a good indication of where you mean to go.

And, heck, maybe in some circles that's to your advantage, eh?

Carl DeLong? Collateral damage. Brian Terry? Collateral damage. Constitutional protections? Collateral damage. Clean elections? Collateral damage.

Progressive fascism: you have to submit to it to find out how good it can be.

UPDATE: Bob Owens has his eye on, another possible Fast and Furious casualty.

UPDATEx2: In today's My Karma Ran Over Your Smegma segment, Brandon Darby suing Neal Rauhauser for alleging his imaginary involvement in an imaginary SWATting.
