Dan Riehl and Marezilla in Hospital

Though I mentioned this in a post about Sandy, the Perfectly Raaaaacist Storm, I though it might be a good idea to break it off into it's own post.

Via Blazing Cat Fur, check out Da Techguy's video on Marezilla, who's in the hospital and could use some tipjarhitting, too.

Via Fausta, Dan Riehl is also in the hospital with pulmonary issues.

UPDATE: Had no idea how serious Dan's condition was, before I read this.

Marezilla's health issues have been ongoing, as you must by now know. It's pretty scary that a doctor gave Dan Riehl a 50% chance of survival when they were trying to get him oxygenated in the ICU. I know that Stacy and Glenn Reynolds have both hit Dan's tip jar. If you've got the scratch, you might want to do the same.

A couple weeks ago, friend Mircea was hospitalized for a respiratory issue, too. I'm not sure whether he's gotten any indication yet what the cause might be. Mold, possibly? Anyway, be careful out there.

Da Techguy was a total mensch, visiting and videoing Zilla in the hospital.

  • Thank you so much! I am home now. I also had issues with low oxygen too but not like what poor Dan is dealing with. May God bless and protect him and heal him completely.
My problem was caused by the change that the government made to asthma inhalers, and by the time I realized that they had become poisonous, the damage was done to my lungs and I just kept getting sicker and sicker until my husband dragged me half dead to the ER where they admitted me to the respiratory unit. It was very scary and I was not getting better until Peter came to visit and he apprently brought Jesus with him, and then the nicest priest ever came to see me, and then the dr.s & nurses became amazed with my overnight "miraculous" turnaround. I am not kidding. I am still weak and very tired, but I am home and I will get better now. Funny thing is, before my lungs imploded, I had started to finally turn a corner on the stupid tick diseases. Hopefully I can put it all behind me some time soon. May Dan get his miraculous healing as well, he is a great blogger and a very nice man – I hate to see such terrible news about him! I pray we will get better news about him soon!
